As an Alaskan Tribal 8(a) Certified Entity, we participate in the SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program. Numerous procurement features of this program make it easy for government customers to award contracts and reduce costs in the acquisition process, while maintaining high standards of expertise required to support their mission.  As an SBA recognized Tribal 8(a) Certified Entity, we are entitled to unique privileges under applicable federal regulations. Alaskan Tribal 8(a) Certified Entities are entitled to receive sole source contracts of any value. Copper River Enterprise Services is not subject to the $4.5 million limitation applied to other 8(a) entities. 3 C.F.R. 124.506 Alaskan Tribal 8 (a) Certified Entities are expected to be economically disadvantaged. This means Copper River Enterprise Services can have strong financial backing and still be considered a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB). 13 C.F.R. 124.109(a)(2) The size of an Alaskan Tribal 8(a) Certified Entity is determined independently of its affiliation with its ownership and any of the other subsidiaries. 13 C.F.R. 124.109(c)(3)(ii)  Tribal Entities may operate multiple 8(a) companies provided that each company operates under a different primary SIC Code or NAICS Code. 13 C.F.R. 124.109(c)(2)(iii)
